Praça 4 wins 2nd place in the national award for sustainable architecture
World reference in sustainable construction, the Saint-Gobain Group announced on September 23, 2020 the ranking order of the winning projects of the 7th edition of the Saint-Gobain Architecture Prize – Sustainable Habitat. In a live ceremony broadcast on YouTube, the highlights of the award were presented in aspects of environmental comfort, innovation, preservation of the environment and the promotion of sustainability in civil construction.
Praça 4, our project for Lugares com Alma e Famcorp, won second place in the Residential Project category, within the Professional category. Built in the Menino Deus neighborhood, in Porto Alegre, the building's main design premise was the search for a comfortable, welcoming, humane and efficient habitat in the use of spaces and natural resources.
We were very happy to receive this recognition among more than 1,000 entries – 80% more than the 2019 edition. and representatives of renowned companies in the sector. In all, works and projects were awarded in the Academic (modality: Academic Project) and Professional (modality: Project and Building – types: Commercial, Residential and Institutional) categories. Among them, projects such as Acoustic Comfort Highlight, Thermal Comfort Highlight, Innovation and Sustainability and the Best Project of the Edition were also recognized.
